Senior Nutrition: Making the Most of Your ADH Food and Nutrition Program3/30/20231pm

Providing quality, appealing and nutritional choices for participants is an ongoing challenge for ADS Centers around the country. In this webinar we will look at the challenges and opportunities presented by running a Food Program in your ADH.
Topics will include:
- Current research on the challenges facing adult day programs across the country in delivering optimal nutrition and the need for advocacy.
- How to best address nutritional needs of diverse participants within the constraints of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
- How to navigate the CACFP Program for optimal reimbursement.
- Thinking outside the box-inviting the community to participate in special events and programs related to Nutrition and Wellness.
- Taking credit for the amazing job you do by showing the community your results in keeping your participants happy and healthy as well as well nourished.
Presenters: Tina Sadarangani PhD, RN, ANP-C, GNP-BC. Dr. Sadarangani is an Assistant Professor and NIH-funded Principal Investigator at the New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She is also a board-certified adult/gerontological nurse practitioner. Her work centers on the experiences of ethnically diverse older adults in Adult Day Health settings. She is focused on integrating Adult Day Centers into the healthcare continuum using technology to foster age-friendly communities.
Terry Anderson Girard, MSRD, LDN – Owner- Anderson Nutrition Services LLC, Quincy, Ma and Hampton NH. Celebrating 50 years of Food and Nutrition experience, Terry is the founder of Anderson Nutrition Services. She has worked with a variety of clients in venues such as: Hospitals, Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Adult Day Health Centers, Independent Living, Community Meals on Wheels and Congregate Dining Programs, and Rehabilitation and Recovery Programs. Terry is an insightful and talented Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She has extensive knowledge and experience in Nutrition Consulting and Management; Food Service Management for Multi-Units; Clinical Nutrition Services; and, Nutrition Education.
